About StephM

After attending college in Beverly,MA to become an interior designer I decided it was time to follow my true love and get into the hair industry!

I came home to Worcester,MA and attended school for Cosmetology. After graduating I decided I wanted to learn more so I acquired a job as an assistant at one of my cities best Hair Salon and Spa's.

I began to learn more about customer service and how busy the industry can be.  The salon gave us in house education as well as sending me to NYC to study at the Redken Exchange. We also studied with TiGI and attended lots of hair shows.

A few years later I decided to start working behind the chair and started at Regis salon located in a mall which had alot of traffic and would allow me to build a clientele.  Shortly after starting I was approached to become a manager at the salon and I gladly accepted and worked for a short time managing.

After getting married at 23, I landed next at an AVEDA concept salon and made this my home for 12 years.  Here I dove into learning all about color and color correction as well as cutting and styling techniques through an owner who was also an educator for AVEDA and the classes she provided for us with advanced education through AVEDA.

In these 12 years there were two in between that I had my first baby! I left and after a few years returned to that same salon and shortly after returning i had my second babe!

As time and my needs as a mom changed, I decided it was time to change salons and i went from a commision stylist to a now booth renter at the W SALON in Worcester. I have great hours for my clients and can offer more time to clients and family which can be a tough balance but I have managed to do!

I have more recently studied Balayage and Hair Painting with BouchyHair and business and motivation with PinkPewter. I have attended classes with Gina Bianca owner of the Network Salon ,CT and Mastermind  and  J Ladner of LA both OLIGO educators and master influencers .It's mr. j ladner has amazing pod cast with Nina Tullio who is a master constultant in our idustry...no stylist left behind! Gina has been featured on both No Stylist left behind and Thriving Stylist Podcasts!

I have also been hired by Masello Salon Services of New England as an independant contractor traveling with their amazing sales team providing technical support and color formulating, styling product and tools, as well extension questions to help stylists all over New England provide the best hair products and services!

I also belong to an amazing business and marketing group based out of California..Britt Seva's Thrivers and supports many industry hair stylists all over the Us and Canada! So even when I'm not behind the chair I am constantly working to bring my customers the best education techniques and content! I have grown so much over the past 18 years in the hair industry and will continue to grow with the industry always!
